Syed Shahnawaz Hussain is awell-known Indian politician and a member of the Central Election Committee of the Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP). He is a prominent National Spokesperson of the BJP. His date of birth is December 12, 1968. He was born in Supaul, Bihar, India, to a middle-class family of Syed Nasir Hussain and Nasima Khatoon. He earned an engineering diploma in Electronics from Industrial Training Institute, PUSA, Delhi. He went on to work in a few private companies before stepping into politics. Then, in September 2001, he was elevated to the rank of a Cabinet Minister for the Civil Aviation portfolio, making him the youngest Cabinet Minister ever in India’s history. He was referred to as the “The Original Youth Leader.” In 2004, Syed Shahnawaz Hussain lost the Parliamentary election from the Kishanganj constituency in Bihar. Although, he won the By-poll election from the Bhagalpur parliamentary constituency in Bihar in 2006.
In 2009, he retained his Bhagalpur constituency and joined the 15th Lok Sabha. Though, he lost in the 2014 Member of Parliament elections. On January 21, 2021, he was elected unopposed to Bihar Legislative Council. And on February 2021, he was inducted as a Cabinet Minister in the seventh Nitish Kumar Ministry in Bihar.
