R.K Misra

R. K. Misra is one of the most influential leaders in India. He is well known for his contribution towards the people of India, empowering them to be better leaders. He is popularly referred to as the respected Misra Ji or the lovable RK amongst the people. He was born on the 1st of July, in the year, 1965. He was born in the village of Sonari, in the state of Uttar Pradesh. After completing his higher secondary education, Misra joined the Indian Institute of Technology in Kanpur. He was selected by Tokyo University to be one amongst 25 other students from all over the world to be able to obtain a Master’s degree in Engineering.

With his return to India in the year 1995, he founded two startup companies namely, Traveljini and Tenet Telecomm. In the year 2005, Misra started a social welfare council and Non Governmental Organization named SAHYOG, which mainly aimed at equipping the rural population of India to be better versions of them by providing them with adequate training and employment opportunities. The NGO also travels to various villages and sends doctors in order to provide sufficient medical treatment, free of cost and also initiates various campaigns to promote women empowerment amongst the villagers.

The Lead India Initiative was started by the Times of India daily and STAR One Entertainments as a platform for the leaders from all over India, for which R. K. Misra was nominated. In the year 2008, on February 9th, he was awarded the Lead India Initiative’s ‘ Mahanayak Story Soon >> Read More... ’ title by Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. He has been a visionary in the field of working towards a clean and transparent government functioning.

R. K. Misra’s ‘Nav Bharat’ is a political movement aimed at a corruption-free political system and focused at obtaining a candidate centric political environment in India. This movement has spread to all over India in the form of ‘Nav Bharat Democratic Party’ in many local areas in Uttar Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
