Neelesh Mandalapu

Neelesh Mandalapu is an Indian film composer, producer, arranger, guitarist, orchestrator, and musician. He has been working as a film composer at Cosmic Symphony Productions in Bristol, United Kingdom, since September 2014. He engaged as a music composer for media. He took a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering at Birla Institute of Technology and Science in 2011. After that, he took a higher diploma in Guitar Performance at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance (ICMP). Later, he completed his Master’s degree in Composition of Music for Film and Television at the University of Bristol in 2015.

He also engaged as a Software Engineer at Mphasis for almost two years. He is fluent in Hindi, English, and Telugu languages. His father worked as an officer in the armed forces. Neelesh Mandalapu started learning fundamental ragas & tabla under an Indian classical music teacher since young age. When he was twelve, he listened to his neighbor who was practicing keyboard every morning. Later, Neelesh got his first keyboard and started practicing random notes and trying to make sense of the instrument. As a composer, arranger, and orchestrator, ICMP alumnus Neelesh Mandalapu has been making a name for himself within Indian film music.

Since completing his year in ICMP on his Higher Diploma program, he has had an opportunity to work on a variety of productions, including 2.0 (2018), Zero (2018), Thugs of Hindustan (2018), Jersey (2019), Dil Bechara (2020), etc. primarily as an orchestrator. Neelesh Mandalapu has been working in the Indian film and music industries as a music composer, orchestrator, and music producer. He considers working with great music composer like AR Rahman and Ajay-Atul, his most cherished moments.

He worked on a couple of films in the Telugu film industry as a composer. Also, he has worked on a few indie singles, one of which is “Through The Window,” which featured Francesca Confortini, a faculty member at ICMP. It is the brand new single, via record label Voxxora Music, in the shape of the jazz ballad, released on January 6. In 2021, Neelesh Mandalapu also collaborated as a music arranger, music producer, and orchestrator on a few film sets like Skylab, Jai Bhim, and Master.
