Sunita Kapur

Sunita Kapur is a singer of Indian origins. She owns a singing institute of the name MusicSunita Academy of Indian Music and also instructs students, since 2002 in the U.S.A. Sunita was indulged in music at a very early age by her parents. She was suggested by her parents to study Indian Classical Music. She then pursued a Master’s in Indian Classical Music at Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan in Bombay. Meanwhile, she also earned a law degree. After completing her studies, she trained with several musical legends including Pt. Govind Prasad Jaipurwale and Pt. Sudhindra Bhaumik. She turned out to be a versatile singer who could sing ghazals, bhajans, and all kinds of film music.

Living in Bombay introduced her to various languages and she became a multi-lingual singer who could sing in Punjabi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Urdu, Gujarati, and English.
