Tina Ambani was born in February 1957 in Bombay, India. She went to MM Pupils Own School in Khar, Bombay, in 1975. She got admitted into Jai Hind College to study arts. She is married to Anil Ambani, the younger son of an Indian business mogul, Dhirubhai Ambani, who owns Reliance Industries. They have two sons which are Jai Anmol and Jai Anshul. The eldest son Jai Anmol is married to Khrisha Shah. Tina’s brother-in-law is Asia's wealthiest man who happens to be Mukesh Ambani, and he is married to Nita the founder of Reliance Foundation and sister-in-law to Tina Ambani. Mukesh is the largest shareholder of Reliance Industries Ltd. Tina is an Actor, activist, and philanthropist. that Sometimes she feels that she left her acting career too soon. But then again, she knew that there was a lot more to explore in the world that she wanted to experience, and not just do movies. She decided to stop her acting career and never regretted it. And she never wants to go back, ever. For her charitable works to the country, she was honored with the title of Chairperson. Ambani established a charity organization called (harmony for Silvers Foundation) that creates a better life for the elderly. The harmony organization is a non-governmental organization that Celebrate Age and the magazine is in its 14th year.
The harmony organization has branches which are Harmony Interactive Center, Mumbai, Harmony Research Division, Harmony Silver Awards, and Harmony Senior Citizens, which Operates at Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru marathons. In 2009, she launched a healthcare Center (Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital & Medical Research Institute in Mumbai), in India. The healthcare center is the first in India to receive its practice license from the (Joint Commission International, USA), (the National Accreditation Board for Healthcare, India), (the College of American Pathologists, USA), and (the National Accreditation Board for Laboratories). She is also the first in India to build a comprehensive center for liver transplants and the first merged center for children's cardiac care in western India. And also centers for rehabilitation and sports medicine, she intends to open 18 cancer care centers in Maharashtra.
Her passion for humanitarian work and her aim to serve her country and explore other things led her to organize the first Harmony Art show in 1995. In 2008, she held an exhibition showcasing upcoming Indian artists at Christie's in London, using the opportunity to showcase different skills and wealth in India. She has as-well worked at the Essex Museum in Salem, Massachusetts. It is the oldest continually operating museum in the US. She worked at the National Gallery of Art, in Mumbai, and also at the Institute of Design. She was also appointed to work at the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, she was actively involved with welfare activities such as Aseema, an NGO that takes children out of the street, and the repair of Elephant Island, a Heritage Site close to Mumbai in India.
