Asha Sharma is an Indian actress. She acted in more than 30 movies. She came to bollywood in 1980’s. She made her debut in the movie “Kismet” in 1980. It was directed by Bisham Kohli. The film was starring popular actors including Shakti Kapoor, Mithun Chakraborty and Om Shivpuri. After this she acted in the movie “Bhagavat” in 1982. The director of the movie was Ramanand Sagar. She worked with Dharmendra and Hema Malini in this movie. In the same year she was seen in the movie “Ashanti” in which she acted the character of Ashok’s mother. She acted with almost all the directors of that time. She also did some prominent roles in the movies such as Baal Brahmachari, Beta Ho Toh Aisa, Chandni, Commando, Damini- Lightning, Hum, Janam Samjha Karo, Jigar, 1920 and many more.
She shared the screen with almost all the big superstars of her time. She is also recognized for working in daily soaps. She made her debut on DD National channel in the serial “ Buniyaad”. It was directed by Ramesh Sippy and Jyoti. The story of the serial revolves around the life of the people after the Partition of India. Asha acted the role of Janko, who is mother of Haveliram. She also became famous with the name of Chai Ji from this show. This show was re-aired again in 2000 on DD Metro channel this time. She also made an appearance in the serial “ Mann Kee Awaaz Pratigya” as the grandmother of Pratigya. She has been seen in the show “ Meet Mila De Rabba” as Geet’s Grandmother. She won many awards in her life. She was nominated for Star Parivar Award for Favorite Buzurg.

Aparajita Mohanty is an Indian actress, popularly known for doing Oriya-based films and also, the actress is based in Bhubaneswar, Odisha in India. She was born on May 15, 1965 at Sambalpur, India and since 1980, she has been actively working in the silver screen. She got married to the popular Ollywood actor, Uttam Mohanty in 1987 and their son Babushaan is also an Oriya-based actor and playback singer. She have worked with her husband in several films since the ‘80s. Aparajita came from Bhadrak (Muslim by religion) and Hindu lineage. Aparajita became very popular until people started calling her as the ‘Hermamalini of Ollywood’. She was considered as the most gorgeous Oriya actress up to this date and has completed over thirty years being in the limelight of the industry.She moved to Bhubaneswar and was debuted in the 1980 film, Seeta Labkush by S. Jagdish Chandra and since then, there was no looking back. In 1982, she was starred in the film Astaraga, together with his Uttam Mohanty. She also acted in the 1983 Telugu film, Abhilasha and bagged the role of Anuradha. She did another film with her husband, Janani in 1984 under the direction of Mohammad Mohsin and later, she did the film, Jaaiphula which stars Uttam Mohanty. In 1985, Aparajita worked with films like Para Jhia Ghara Bhangena, Pooja Phula, School Master, Sankha Sindura, Sesha Pratikshya, Sata Kebe Luchi Rahena, Chaka Bhaunri, Mamata Mage Mula, Nala Damayanti, Jaga Hatare Pagha and Para Jhia Ghara Bhangena. After this, she continuously shine in the big screen. She also did Rakesh Mohanty’s Dadagiri in 1993, Subhadra in 1995, Laxman Rekha in 1996, Lakhe Siba Puji Paichi Pua in 1997 and Sahara Jaluchi in 1998. In the early 2000, she was seen in Dharma Sahile Hela. In 2005, the brilliant actress has done a Bengali thriller film entitled, Sangram by Haranath Chakraborty. Then she did the films Dhauli Express and Samaya Hathare Dori in 2007. In 2009, she appeared in the Oriya film, Aila Re Odia Pua and Swayamsiddha in 2010. In 2011, she appeared in the Oriya film, Loafer which stars Babushan (her son) and Archita Sahu and the Oriya film, Mate Bohu Kari Nei Jaa by Bikash Das.In year 2009, Aparajita received the ETV Oriya Priya Award. Recently, she joined the world of politics under the national party, INC or the Indian National Congress. She is the granddaughter Subhan Ali Khan who became a minister long time ago.
