Personal Life: Shamita Shetty took birth on 2nd February 1979 in Mangalore, Karnataka, India. She is the younger daughter of Mr. Surendra Shetty and Mrs. Sunanda Shetty. Her elder sister Shilpa Shetty is a popular Bollywood actress. Career: Shamita was born and brought up in a traditional family. She did her graduation from Sydenham College, Mumbai in commerce and then a diploma course from SNDT in Fashion Designing. She began her career as a fashion designer and then later as a model. Shamita debuted in Aditya Chopra's Mohabbatein (2000). This film by Yash Raj was a blockbuster. Shamita has also worked for South Indian film industry. She acted in a Tamil movie Raajjiyam (2002) and a Telugu movie Piliste Palakutha(2003). She earned a lot of praise for her sizzling item songs – ‘Chori Pe Chori’and ‘Sharara Sharara’.

In the mean while she did a few movies and then in 2005 she was appreciated for her performance in the movie Zeher. It was her first solo hit. She acted with her sister Shilpa in the movie Fareb(2005). Later she was offered only guest appearances in Bollywood. While her Bollywood career was drooping drown, her items numbers were still applauded. Her last notable role was in the Tamil movie Naan Aval Adhu (2008) as Geetha. She appeared as a guest on Bigg Boss (Season 3) on Colors TV (2009) but later opted out of the show for her sister Shilpa's wedding. In 2011, Shetty renounced acting and later took to Interior designing. She recently participated in Indian Television dance reality show Jhalak dikhlaja season 8 where she attracted the audience with her dance skills Controversies: She was once snapped in an awkward wardrobe malfunction. Also, she was rumored to have relation with actor Manoj Bajpayee. Awards: Shamita received IIFA Award for Star Debut of the Year (Female) for her portrayal of the role as Ishika Dhanrajgir in Mohabbatein.

Nargis Rabadi, popularly known as ‘Shammi Aunty,' had set foot in the world of Bollywood almost sixty-five years ago. During the start of her career, she had many opportunities to work for, as the role as a lead actress and then as a second lead also. She later inclined herself towards doing the supporting role or second lead. Even though she worked for as long as 60 years, nothing stopped her, and she worked without any major breaks. It was all due to her magic she entered with in Bollywood and also because of her acquaintance and near and dear ones. Nargis was the first actor to be paid Rs1lac, which was large sum at that time. Shammi has acted in almost 200 films so far in small and big characters. She also set her foot in television industry by working in serials like “Dekh Bhai Dekh”, “Shriman Shrimati” and “Kabhi Yeh Kabhi Woh”. Her last film that released in 2012 was Bela Sehgal’s “Shirin Farhad Ki Toh Nikhal Padi”. Personal Life: Shammi Aunty was born in her own mother’s home in Nargol-Sanjan (in Gujarat). She belongs to Parsi parents. The family shifted their house to Mumbai when Shammi Aunty was only a few months old. Her family had no connections with films or Bollywood. Nargis's family comprised of her Parsi priest father and her mother who manages household affairs and an elder sister Mani Rabadi. Shammi Aunty was just three years old when her father passed away. There was no one to support them financially and no source of family income. Hence, Shammi Aunty’s mother had to struggle to make and to provide basic facilities. She had two young daughters whom she had to take care of, and this was a major responsibility. But the girls did make their mother proud of them. With the passage of time, both the sisters started self-funding their education by taking up a job in a toy factory owned by the Tata. Shammi aunty married to producer-director Sultan Ahmed in the year 1970. Along with her husband, Shammi Aunty co-produced blockbusters like “Heera” (1973) and “Ganga Ki Saugandh” (1978). Career: Shammi Aunty got into movies accidently. It was her family relative who got a role for her in the movie, a role of a second lead. However, it was not easy. Shammi Aunty faced problems as her relatives were not ready for it and acted as resistance on her way to success. When she entered the film industry, she had to change her name from Nargis to Shashi as there was already a renowned actress by that and this was advised by Tara Harish himself. Nargi’s first film was Ustad Pedro, and she signed that movie at the young age of 18. Tara Harish is the person behind Nargis. She made her practice dialogues and acting even when it was not her day at the shoot. Shammi Aunty worked hard and started her career with full acceleration. The results were also stunning. Impressed by her passion, Tara Harish decided to cast her as a heroine in ‘Malhar’ opposite actor Arjun. Roshan, who was a legendary composer of that time who composed a song for the movie and those songs, were well appreciated by all. Shammi Aunty never fails to remember three actresses who were close to her – Nargis, Madhubala, and Asha Parekh. During the 50’s, Shammi Aunty enacted several memorable roles in movies like “Baaghi”, “Aag Ka Dariya”, “Munna”, “Rukshana”, “Pehli Jhalak”, “Bandish” “Musafirkhana”, “Azad” and “Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai”.
