Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal

Mahabanoo Mody-Kotwal is an Indian theater artist as well as Bollywood and Hollywood actress. Mahabanoo owns a production house company named, Poor Box Production. She has been a part of many Hollywood as well Bollywood movies and famous plays.

Born and brought up in Mumbai, she did her schooling from J.B. Petit High School. Mahabanoo did her graduation from St Xavier's College. She holds a degree of two BSC subjects. Her degree subjects include Geology-Chemistry and Microbiology-Chemistry.

In the initial days of her career, she has worked in the field as her education but later at a very laid backstage of her life she decided to quit it and start all over with making a move towards the theater industry. She was very well appreciated as a theater artist. Mahabanoo has even appeared in many Hindi and Hollywood movies. The multitalented personality has served as an actor, director, producer for many movies like Once I Was Young...Now I'm Wonderful!, Art, The Vagina Monologues, (W) hole in the Head, Shirley Valentine, Two Hot to Handle, and much more. Her movie The Vagina Monologues, directed by Eve Ensler was based on the popular and recognized show Ensler by the same name. Based on the concept of women talking and discussing their private parts had been a huge help for her, for raising money for the women who are torched and abused in the poor families living below the poverty line. She collected the money and builds a shelter for those needy women.

She has been a part of movies Bollywood movies in supporting but remarkable roles.
