Kashmira Shah

Kashmira Shah or also known as Kashmera or Kash, is a renowned Indian model and film and television actress. She was born on December 2, 1971 in Mumbai, India. She is a half Gujarati and half Maharashtrian and the granddaughter of Anjanibai Lolekar, a notable classical singer. Kashmira used to participate in many beauty pageants including Miss India Talent and Miss University World.

She started her career in doing theater plays until she became a model and later entered the television industry. She first appeared in the mini-series, Hello Bollywood in 1994 and was seen in the box-office Telugu film, Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu in 1996, where she also did an item number in the song Pappa Ro Paap. The following year, she acted in the television series, Private Detective: Two Plus Two Plus One. Kashmira acted as the wife of Aditya Pancholi’s character in the super hit Bollywood romantic comedy film, Yess Boss in 1997. Kashmira went on to appear in several films and appeared in the item songs of films like Vaastav: The Reality in 1999, Dil Pe Mat Le Yaar in 2000, Ravanaprabhu in 2001, Ankhen in 2002, Murder in 2004 and World Cup 2011 in 2009.

She made a notable performance in the thriller film, Jungle in the year 2000. Kashmira and Krushna’s duo continues in another dance reality show, Kabhi Kabhii Pyaar Kabhi Kabhii Yaar in 2008, where they were declared as the winners. In 2010, she participates on NDTV Imagine’s Dil Jeetegi Desi Girl and took the first runner-up position. Kashmira is hosting Channel V’s reality show, Steal Your Girlfriend since 2011 up to this date. In 2013, she acted as Chief Bureau Officer Maya in the crime detective television series, Hum Ne Li Hai Shapath. She played a cameo role in the Bollywood comedy film, Entertainment, which was helmed by the duo, Sajid-Farhad in 2014.
