This Moscow-born Elena always wanted to be a Bollywood girl. But she had no formal training in acting. She learnt to speak Hindi. All she could do is, to land up in Kolkata after finishing her degree in History and Politics from Whitman College, USA. While she was in Kolkata, she got a job in NGO. Elena Kazan was born in Moscow, her mother, a nurse, and her father, an economics teacher. She is known to audiences worldwide for her role in English Film, Ruined Heart, where she played a leading female lead. Her first break was in Bengali cinema and she got three Bengali film offers so far.
