He was born in Delhi, completed his schooling from Delhi Public School and went to Hindu College. He is fond of sports too and plays cricket , basketball and soccer. He was the part of theatre group ACT ONE in Delhi for several years and on the account of that he believed the theatre actually works well in improving his skills.
His role model is his mother herself , he learned from her that sometimes it’s really fine to cross some boundaries as she did it too for him. As a matter of being a good actor, he is funny, innovative and down to earth person too. Mastana’s character, the male protagonist of Jugni, in the film is that of an innocent, charmer but rogue man and he played it well. In Shefali’s words, when he was on his auditions of Mastana, she and her took no time to get it that he was the one for that role. Shefali Bhushan debuted with the film ‘Jugni’, released on 22 january 2016, deals with a music composer who travels in villages of India such that she could find a compatible and golden voice. While working on the sets, Behl came across many crazy and adorable experiences.
In one of his interview he said that it was his misbelieve that Punjabis are actually loud and arrogant but after playing a Punjabi role in Chandigarh his mindset is reorganised. The most impressive thing, according to him, about Chandigarh that it makes everyone a foodie, the city did to him the same. According to him, “ Jugni is a romantic musical film with a contemporary take on relationships.” His favourite song from the movie is ‘Dilaan de saudey’. When he was asked about how he use his senses to choose a film, does it a big banner or glamour?? Then he replied, “ Fame and all that glamour which follows come secondary for me . If the content is nice there is nothing that will stop me from taking up the movies. It’s a game for fresh ideas and innovative scripts.” He was satisfied by his film as he believed that it can spread a smile on audience’s face.
