Chunnu Mehra is an actor and producer living in Mumbai. He is most famous for his supporting roles in movies and television serials. Chunnu was born and brought up in Lucknow in a family of businessmen. He, however, desired to be an actor. When he was 18 years old, he came to Mumbai to live with his brother, where he met Chandrasekhar Sharma, an actor. Chandrasekhar advised Chunnu to work on stage and do plays. While living in Mumbai and aspiring to be an actor, Chunnu faced many difficulties. He lived in a small rented room where many other students lived. Chunnu worked as a rikshaw puller to earn money.
While going through these struggles, he kept working on his acting. He soon got a role in a film of Rajshree Production, Ankhiyon ke Jharokhon se, where he played the part of a college student. He later got to play the part of a henchman in the film Ram Tera Desh. After Ram Tera Desh, he got many other parts in films. He also appeared in an episode of CID, playing the role of a taxi driver. Although he has acted in many films, his most appealing part is in Duplicate (1998). Starring Shahrukh and in Ssshhhh… Koi Hai (2002), where in an episode he plays the role of a gold digger.
