MORE CAST & CREW
When you are suffering from a creative setback all you want is to come out of it. And when you find the means to overcome it, it is indeed noteworthy. Jugni goes in the lines of such findings. Well, let’s delve deep into the movie.Â
Plot
Sugandha Garg Sugandha Garg is famously known as an Actor, Singe >> Read More... is an independent and competent musician, who embarks on a journey to a rustic area, to rekindle her creative finesse. But it happens that she gets acquainted with Sadhana’s son Siddhant Behl Jugni fame Siddhant Behl is a newbie in Indian cin >> Read More... (who is a happening local singing artist) first. Sidhant’s passion for life and his effective voice strikes the right chord with Sughandha. And needless to say, Sidhant and Sugandha share a zeal for music, and this becomes instrumental in developing their relationship to the next level (it’s another issue that while Sidhant is has a village sweetheart, Sugandha has a boyfriend in the city). And the life-altering situations both these individuals’ life form the rest of the film.
Star Performances
Sugandha Garg expresses a plethora of emotions, which is very much required for her character, with ease. Siddharth Behl, who is also the assistant writer of the movie, shows promise and his screen presence is endearing. He charms you with his essaying of an innocent village guy who believes in his heart. Anirutta K Jha, who plays the role of the local sweetheart of Behl, does a convincing job.Â
Analysis
Debutante Shefali Bhushan, who is also the writer of Jugni, delves into the life of two contrasting characters in the film. These characters are brought together through the powerful strength of music. When Sugantha connects again with her inner self, she gets to know the stark difference between rural and urban life. Her soul-searching process is indeed endearing when said in words, but when you watch the film, you feel that it could have been much better. However, you get a peep into the troubles of impoverished folk performers.Â

Verdict
The soul-stirring music, the unseen beauty of rural areas of Punjab, and the different theme, makes this film worth a watch.Â
