Raj Verma is also a successful Television artiste. He began his career in the year 1978 as a child artist, in the movie Muqaddar Ka Sikandar, which turned out to be box office hit. Some of his hit films include Love in Goa (1983) and The Monster (1993). Verma visited Dolgellau, in North Wales, during one of his film’s shooting, about 12 years back. He almost immediately fell for the small market town and visited the place often. He badly wanted to settle there, and that is exactly what he did. About a year ago,

Raj Verma moved to Dolgellau from London with his family. The pleasant weather, the lush greenery, the kind citizens and so many other assets of the Town attracted Verma. Raj Verma is a passionate Entrepreneur in North Wales. He runs an Indiana Restaurant, along with his wife, in Fair Bourne, near Dolgellau. Raj Verma’s wife Noori is a trained and well-qualified Chef. The Indian celebrity is also spreading the popularity of Bollywood cinema in North Wales by conducting workshops and acting classes. Raj Verma has created a Telefilm in Meirionnydd, titled as Ahsaab, which means The Fear. His mother was the director of the movie. He has told in an Interview that the people in Wales are eager to know more about Bollywood. Raj Verma is also in talks with the Tourism Board of North Wales, to give access to Indian films, to come and shoot at North Wales. Raj Verma got married to Noori, a qualified Chef, and the couple has two kids- Suhaana, aged two and Aazaan, who is five-years-old. Raj Verma, his wife, two kids and his mother, all are residing in North Wales.
