Aashir Wajahat had already acquired a fan following with his lovable antics in several TV serials that he had appeared in as a child artist, and also became a well known face through appearances in TV commercials, as well as a couple music videos. But after the release of his debut film “Karachi Se Lahore”, in 2015, and the success that it has achieved, there is some murmur whether his fame is a reflected one, being the son of Wajahat Rauf Wajahat Rauf (born on October 9, 1976) was born an >> Read More... , the well known producer/director and a well known name in show biz in Pakistan. However, it would be unfair for this 8th grade kid (at the time of the making of “KSL”) to be denied the credit due to him for his roles in TV serials as well as for his acting in “KSL”. It is, however, to be conceded that it must have helped this junior a lot, being under the tutelage of a father like Wajahat Rauf, producer of several successful dramas like Hum TV’s “Nikaah”, and ARY’s “ Soteli Sotelo is a Pakistani TV serial in Urdu language a >> Read More... ”, and with the background of a Masters in Mass Communications from California University, to boost him.

Aashir has a long list of TV serials to his credit, most of which were produced by his father. Quite naturally, his debut serial on TV, in 2011, was “Kya Life Hai”, which was written and directed by his own father, followed by “Ek aur Ek Dhai”, which was one more of his father’s productions. He also appeared in “Soteli”, one of the most famous serials of his father, and in both the two serials, he played quite important roles, although as a child artist. In between, he had also appeared in a pure situational comedy entitled “Hum Tumhe Chahte Hain Aise”. His big break, however, must be with his film appearance in “KSL”, and that too in a slightly more juvenile role, in which he seems to have matched wits with the more accomplished stars in that successful movie. While he naturally regards his dad as his role model, and must be nurturing feelings in his mind to ultimately make himself bigger on the big screen, for the moment he declares studies to be his priority.
