Kuber Sarup

Kuber Sarup is a filmmaker, actor, and assistant director based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. He was born on 20 November 1986. He has studied at Sahyadri School, Krishnamurti Foundation India. Then, he pursued a Bachelor of Mass Media in Advertisement at the University of Mumbai, Maharashtra. He had great exposure to filmmaking as he grew up on film sets. He started his career as an editor and writer. He also directed a few short films before he started directing advertisements. 

In February 2001, he worked as an actor at the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC). He played the role of a protagonist named Vinod in a National Award-winning film called ‘Bub’ which was released in 2001. The film was inspired by a real-life incident that took place on the occasion of Republic Day. It was based on the Vandahama tragedy, when a Kashmiri Pundit family was massacred before the Republic Day on 26th January. He won the Best Short Film award for a documentary called Finding Indians at the Frames Film Festival, an initiative by the Mass Media Department of SIES (Nerul) College of Arts, Science & Commerce in September 2006. In September 2017, he won the INDIAA Awards for Best Television Commercial as the Second Unit Director for Milton Leak Lock Tiffin, which was India's 1st Television Commercial shot entirely on an iPhone.
