Amit is an editor in the entertainment industry. He completed his master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication at Punjab Agricultural University. He worked as a staff correspondent at the Indian Express, where he launched the city pullout Ludhiana news line, pursued the concept of civil and community journalism for the local edition as well as for the main book of the Indian Express, as a special correspondent at the Hindustan Times, where he becomes a core member and Ludhiana head district of the team that launched a newspaper in Punjab on 2000, as a senior assistant editor at the daily post, where his primary responsibilities are carrying out various administrative, sales, circulation issues and newsroom management, as a resident editor at Dainik Jagran.

He is one of the few bilingual reporters or editors, who knew the language of English, Hindi and Punjabi. Amit also has journalistic and editorial experience in USA based world’s most significant media organizations, such as Boston Globe, Cape Code Times and ABC6 News. He has also received various travel grants from tourism ministries and departments of different countries in Europe and Australia for travelogue writing. Such fellowship helps him to gain insight into the best standards of journalism, which are set by International Media Organizations. Amit also considers himself a storyteller, who treats news and its features with passion. He completes all his deadlines and understands all the complicated parts of a newsroom, and field reporting.

Amit also found himself as an enthusiastic reporter with a strong urge for discovering news, a passion for civic, community and investigative journalism and following highest standard. Amit also can achieve success by using limited resources and has the expertise of launching, managing and conceptualising city pullouts of three different media groups.
