Rohan Sippy is the son of the famous who is well known for his movie “Sholay” released in 1975, and the grandson of G.P Sippy. Following his father’s and grandfather’s footsteps, Rohan is an Indian Director and Producer. He was educated from the renowned Aiglon College in Switzerland, and graduated from Stanford University, California. Rohan started his career by directing “Kuch NaaKaho” in 2003. Starring his childhood friend and Aishwarya Rai, and his father as the producer, the movie had an amazing opening, but it was declared a flop at the Indian Box Office Charts. In his career until now, he has directed numerous movies. In 2005, he directed the Romantic Comedy “”, which did not receive good reviews, but in turn was labeled “average” by the Indian Box Office. He released a humorous mockumentary in 2009 named “The President is coming”. The movie shows a day in the life of 6 contestants who represent India in front of the American President who is visiting town. Rohan tested his abilities to direct a Hindi Crime movie “Dum Maro Dum” in 2011. This time, the movie received a better reception than the previous one. The film grossed over $8.6 million worldwide. Rohan’s most recent releases were “”; screened in 2013 was romantic comedy and a remake of the French movie “Apres Vous”, and “” featuring a fresh face . Now, the director is all out to take on a super hero movie by adopting the super hero novel “Turbulence” by . He is a proud father to daughter Inaya Sippy.
