Manwar Rana is a director who works in the Hindi film industry. He is an indie director or independent director, who makes art and introspective movies, rather than commercial hits. Manwar started out with theatre, where he acted, wrote and directed several critically acclaimed plays.
In 2010, Manwar started working for Sony TV’s hit serial, Adalat. On Adalat, he worked as an editor and he has 10 episodes to his credit. After leaving Adalat in just one year, he made many short films like Nanhi Pari and Adwaita. In the same year, he also worked as an editor on the critically acclaimed movie known as Saanjh. The movie about a 16-year-old girl who is forcefully taken away from the glitz and glamour of a metro city to a remote village in the Himalayas, where she meets her equally lonely grandmother.
