Born on 30 January 1940, in Ajmer, Rajasthan, Mohan Maharishi is an Indian theatre actor, director, and playwright. He completed his graduation in 1965 from the National School of Drama in New Delhi and later filled in as its Director from 1984 to 1986. Mohan is most known for his plays in Hindi, for example, Einstein in 1994, Saanp Seedhi, and Raja Ki Rasoi Vidyottamā. Furthermore, he coordinated incalculable Hindi plays throughout the years, including, Andhayug, Othello, Rani Jindan in Punjabi, Ho Rahega Kuchh Na Kuchh roused by Marsha Norman's English play, "'Night, Mother" in 1983 and Dear Bapu in 2008.

Among eminent play composed by him incorporated "Deewar Mein Ek Khirkee Rahati Thi" and "Joseph Ka Mukadma." Beforehand, he additionally remained the Theater Advisor to the Government of Mauritius from 1973 to 1979. After his arrival from Mauritius, he began educating at 'Branch of Indian Theater,' and he filled in his second residency as the Professor and Department Head of the Department of Indian Theater in 1987 at Punjab University in Chandigarh. He lived in Chandigarh till his retirement in 2004, and moving back to New Delhi; he set up Natwa Theater Society. Mohan Maharishi is known for his shortsighted yet dramatically solid and inspiring preparations and broadly viewed as probably the best executive Indian theatre delivered.
