Lushin Dubey is an Indian theatre artist. She is a stage actor and director. She has acted, directed, scripted for over 20 years. Lushin did her Masters in History from University of Delhi, Lady Shri Ram College. She is a married woman and mother to two daughters, Ilina and Tara. Her sister Lillete Dubey is also an artist. Her husband is a Professor of Economics at Stony Brook University.
Her debut came through a solo play Untitled, which was scripted by
. Untitled, has also completed 200 shows. It was staged at Smithsonian Institution and also at Harvard. Her second solo play was Bitter chocolate that was based on Pinki Virani's book and was also scripted and directed by Arvind Gaur. She has also set up two theatre companies, named Kidsworld and Theatre world.
I Will Not Cry her third play was a blend of multimedia and theatre. This play too was directed by Arvind Gaur. Her major performances as directorial include Life of Gautam Budda, Mushkan. She has also acted in William Shakespeare's play Macbeth with
. She is also awarded Karmaveer Puraskaar Noble Laureates in 2009 and Radha Krishna Award. She has also won 2006 Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Mini-Series — and Perfect Husband.
