Arvind Gaur is an Indian theatre director who is known for social and political plays which are innovative and relevant for the public. His theatres are modern and bring out the emphasis on social and political issues in society. Gaur deals with work like communalism, casteism, racism, social injustice or discrimination, violence, and other problems which has an adverse effect on the growth of the community. Arvind Gaur is the leader of Asmita, an abundant theatre group of Delhi. Gaur is known as an actor, theatre personnel, and social activist. He arranges theatre seminars for children belonging to slums and schools to mold and teach them the art of stage-performing. Career: Gaur has directed some very strong and meaningful plays giving social messages to the public.

One of the plays which goes by the name ‘Chukayenge?Nahi’ is a strong storyline bringing the social injustice out in the air. He has directed over 60 theatres which include his debut play Hanoosh, Rakt Kalyan, Tuglaq, Court Martial, and Andha Yug over 15 years. He has performed theatre workshops in various known institutions like Stanford, Harvard, and Smithsonian. Gaur has also worked for the Navbharat Times newspaper for about four years as a culture columnist. He had incorporated with a Tv serial known as Tana-Bana where he was responsible for the research and programming. Gaur is known for his appearance in the movie Raanjhanaa where he portrayed the character of Chief Minister’s PA GuptaJi, which was directed by Aanand L. Rai, a superstar director.

His other film roles include Gurgaon (film), and JD (film). Personal Life: Arvind Gaur was born on February 2, 1963, in his hometown Delhi, India. He completed his schooling from The Modern School, Vivek Vihar, Delhi and graduated in Electronic Communication Engineering. His father was a math scholar and mother were a housewife. He has four siblings: an advocate brother and three sisters. He is married to Dr. Sangeeta Gaur. Gaur has received a research fellowship presented by the Ministry of Human Research and Development of Indian Government. He was also invited as a guest faculty in Delhi University for several theatre classes and education programs given his experience in film industry and stages.
