Jamshed Boman Homi Wadia, also known by his stage name J.B.H. Wadia, is from Surat, Gujarat. He was born on September 13, 1901, and passed away on January 4, 1986, due to cancer. J.B.H. Wadia has predominantly worked for the Bollywood entertainment industry as a film director, screenwriter, and producer and J.B.H. Wadia is the creator of “Wadia Movietone Studio.” J.B.H. Wadia comes from a family of business owners. J. B. H. Wadia was married to Hilla Patel, and the couple had two children, a daughter named Haidee and a son named Vinci. After getting married to Vinci, Nargis Khambata found Interpublicity, the first female advertising business in Asia. Haidee settled in Boblingen after getting married to Gerhard Meier, a German.
At the Kohinoor Studios in Dadar and under the direction of Deware Laboratories, Wadia created his first film, Vasant Leela, in 1928. J. B. H. Wadia established the Wadia Movietone firm in 1933 and produced his first talkie film, Lal-E-Yaman, which was influenced by the Orientalist fantastical universe promoted by the Arabian Nights and associated themes. The Court Dancer, the first Sindhi-language film made after Partition, Ekta, and Hotel Taj Mahal, the very first Indian television series, were all produced by Movietone. J. B. H. Wadia became involved in the Indian freedom struggle in the late 1930s, first being motivated by the Indian Congress Party and later by M.N. Roy, a former Communist. He broke with Communism after a dispute with Stalin and founded his party, Radical Humanism.
