Jasmine Chabria

Jasmine Chabria is a successful writer, entrepreneur and a journalist from Iran. Something unique about her is that she was born in Tehran, Iran. Her parents are pure Sindhi. Her father's name is Murlidar Chabria, and he works for the Hindujas and runs the business back in Iran while her mother is a simple housewife. She completed her schooling in her mother country. After spending 15 years in Iran, her parents sent her to India for higher studies as higher studies in English were not available in Iran. She graduated from Bandra's National College. Her journey towards winning the award for her short film began at a very young age by writing stories, poems and articles. Her works were well recognised by the local media. She did not stop there because she was amazed by the enchantment of moving pictures and wanted to do something of her own in the film industry. She went to Mumbai and wrote stories and scripts for a youth magazine. "Tatkal" is a short film directed by her, which was released on 14 May 2013, won an award during the "DNA shortcut" in Mumbai's Short-Film Festival.
