Yashasvi Bhupendra Kumar Jaiswal is an international cricketer playing for the Indian cricket team. He was born on the 28 of December 2001. The youngster made his international debut against West Indies in July 2023, scoring a century in his first game in Test Cricket. For his domestic team, he played for Mumbai and Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise club Rajasthan Royals. He became the youngest cricketer to score a List A cricket double century in 2019 and represented India at the Under-19 Cricket World Cup.

Jaiswal grew up in Suriyawan, Bhadohi, Uttar Pradesh with five siblings. His father was the owner of a small hardware store. When he turned ten, he moved to Mumbai to pursue his dream as a cricketer and was received at Azad Maidan. With his passion for cricket, Jaiswal could not have a stable job and so couldn't keep his accommodation in a diary shop. He later lived in a tent with groundskeepers at the Maidan, where he sold panipuri to earn a living. He left the tents three years later after being scouted by Jwala Singh as a cricketing potential in December 2013. He then joined the cricket academy in Santacruz and was provided a place to live before Jaiswal became his legal guardian and his power of attorney.

Jaiswal became famous in 2015 when he took 13/99 in a Giles match and scored 319 points. It was an all-round record in school cricket in India. He also helped India Under-19 win the Asian Cricket Cup, scoring 318 runs. Jaiswal scored 173 from 220 balls in a Touth Test match against South Africa under-19 in 2019. The following year, he was the leading run scorer in the Under-19 Cricket World Cup

In 2020, Jaiswal was bought by Rajasthan Royals at the IPL auction and debuted on 22 September 2020. In October 2021, the young cricketer made his maiden T20 half-century against Chennai Super Kings, the second fastest in franchise history. On 30 April 2023, he made his maiden T20 century game scoring 124 from 62 balls against Mumbai Indians. He hit the fastest Indian Premier League half-century against Kolkata Knight Riders on 11 May 2023, surpassing the previous record held by KL Rahul and Pat Cummins. He ended the 2023 IPL as Rajasthan Royals' leading run scorer with 625 runs in 14 matches. Following such impressive performances, Jaiswal received his maiden call-up to India’s Test cricket team for the series against the West Indians.
