Anjum Chopra is an Indian Cricketer who was born on 20 May 1977 in New Delhi, India. Anjum has also done commentary in various matches and tournaments. As a child, Anjum has always been a sports enthusiast. She has been good at various sports such as Basketball, Swimming, besides Cricket. She started playing cricket from the age of nine in inter college competitions. Then she got selected for the under-15 cricket team to play for New Delhi. At the age of 17, she made her debut in one day international against New Zealand.

Then in the same year she also played against England in Test series. Anjum is a left hands batswoman and right handed bowler. Chopra was the first woman to score 1,000 runs in ODIs for India, and she has played 116ODIs and 12 test series. Anjum is a pet lover and has a pet dog at her house. Anjum’s father, Krishan Bal Chopra, is a golfer. Her brother Nirvan Chopra played for India in Under-19 and under-19 cricket team. Anjum did her schooling from Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram, and then she went to St. Stephen's College, Delhi University.

Though she has been into Cricket, her studies were never affected. She has done MBA from FORE School of Management in Marketing and Human Resource. She has conducted training programs for various companies such as Goldman Sachs and Vodafone. She was a participant of the famous reality show Fear Factor - Khatron Ke Khiladi Season 4. She has made several records such as being the first Indian player to score an ODI century for India, first Indian captain to win a Test Series abroad, first player to play 100 ODIs for India, First to play 6 World Cups for India, and First female sportscaster and player to commentate on men's cricket matches. Anjum has acted in a documentary drama film, "Poor Cousins of Million Dollar Babies". The movie received national acclaim at the Arnold Sports Film Festival in Ohio in 2011
