Mohinder Amarnath or Mohinder Amarnath Bahrdwaj in real life was born on September 24, 2950 in Patiala, India. He was known as Jimmy and he is a former cricketer and presently a cricket analyst. He is the son of the late test cricketer, Lala Amarnath. His brothers Surinder and Rajinder Amarnath are also from the cricket industry. Mohinder was the ‘Man of the Series’ in 1983, this is when India got their very first World Cup Cricket award in England. He was also the best batsman in opposition to the express pace.

Mohinder started in 1969 in a competition against Australia. He was the quick-bowling all rounder at that time. Then he became the top order batsman who primarily plays at number 3 for his country. Mohinder was known for his style and great skill in cricket. He has a control over the ball while swinging and cutting it. Mohinder had a score of 11 centuries and 24 fifties out of 69 Tests with a satisfactorily 42.50 average. He also fell and was unconscious by Imran Khan’s lethal bouncer. Mohinder also gained the CK Nayudu Lifetime Achievement Award from the Indian cricket board.

In late 1980’s up to early 1990’s, Mohinder hosted a weekly coaching show, Cricket with Mohinder Amarnath on Doordarshan channel. The show features different techniques and forum with the guest speakers who normally came from the Indian National Team Members. In 2009, Amarnath joined the dance reality show, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa together with famous actress, Shilpa Shukla. The audiences and juries become very emotional when he was eliminated. Mohinder always brings a red hanky with him, because he believes that it gave him luck and success.

Salil Ankola, born on March 1, 1968, and a resident of Solapur in Maharashtra is a former Indian International cricketer who played one Test match and twenty One Day Internationals from 1989 to 1997 for India. He was a first-class cricketer for Maharashtra who commenced the bowling. His excellent performances landed him in the Indian ODI team during 1993. But being a poor fielder he was removed. The story is about a girl, Gauri who is asked to marry the guy chosen by Mahen, her father’s best friend. Ankola appeared in Bigg Boss during his contract period with Balaji Telefilms which affected his career a lot.Ankola was casted in the CID Special Bureau show as Senior Inspector from 11 March 2004. He says, “I played Special Investigation Officer in Kehta Hai Dil and co-incidentally I am playing it again in CID Special Bureau.”“Ssshhhh...Koi Hai”, an Indian thriller television show began on 27 July, 2001. Salil Ankola played the role of Vikraal, a ghost exterminator, in this spooky series. “Vikraal Aur Gabraal” is an extension of this series, where Vikraal, played by Salil Ankola, teaches Gabraal to catch ghosts.Thus, Salil Ankola played varying roles during his career and continues to be counted among the finest jewels of the Indian television industry.

Madan Lal

Madan Lal is a former cricketer and a coach for the Indian national cricket team. He was also a member of the World Cup winning Indian squad of 1983. Madan Lal was born on 20 March 1951 in Amritsar, Punjab. His nickname is Maddipa. He played for Punjab (1968-1972) and Delhi (1973-1991) at the national level. He has a record of 5270 runs and 351 wickets in the Ranji Trophy, which is considered one of the best in the national competition. Madan Lal made his Test debut for India against England at Manchester in June 1974. Since then he has played 39 Tests, having a record of 1,042 runs at an average of 22.65, and 71 wickets at 40.08, along with 15 catches. Among his memorable performances were his bowling against England at Bombay (1981) and his brilliant 74 against Pakistan at Bangalore (1983). Madan Lal made his one-day international debut against England at Leeds in July 1974, Since then he has played 67 ODI's, scoring 401 runs and taking 73 wickets. This includes two Cricket World Cups- the 1975 Cup Event ( the first ball to Dennis Amiss of England was by him) and the 1983 Cricket World Cup, which won them the Champions Title. He took three wickets in the 1983 World Cup, which was responsible for crumbling of the West Indies’ batting. After retirement, Madan Lal remained connected in the game. He was the coach of the Indian national team from September of 1996 to1997. He was a part of the Selection Committee for two years consecutively (2000, 2001). He was the coach of the Delhi Giants-an Indian Cricket League team from 2008 to 2009 when it stopped functioning (his son Kunal played for Ahmedabad Rockets). Madan Lal runs a cricket academy in Siri Fort Sports Complex, Delhi. He became the chief coach of the Sanjay Jagdale MPCA Academy in 2010. Madan Lal also had a stint in politics. In 2009 March, he contested the by-elections at Hamirpur Parliamentary constituency in Himachal Pradesh as a representative of Indian National Congress. He was against Anurag Thakur, son of BJP leader, Prem Kumar Dhumal. In April 2013, Madan Lal came on a crime show called Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath on Life OK at 9 pm.He was roped in to play a cricket expert who will help the team of Hum Ne Li Hai- Shapath cricket-related crimes.
