Namrata Tiwari

Namrata Tiwari is a Manipuri and Bharatnatyam dancer. She is a disciple pf Rukhmini Devi Arundale. She has trained under guru Ambika Bush and guru Gayatri Gurunathan to further enhance her skills. She has completed her Masters in Fine Arts in Bharatnatyam from Bharatidasan University, Trichy. She is a certified therapeutic movement practioner.

She studied ‘creative Movement therapy’ from CMTAI, Bengaluru certified by CID-UNESCO, France. She is a trained Manipuri dancer. She developed her skills under Ms.Rekha Talaukdar and Ms. Anindita Rajkumari. Namrata completed her B.A., L.L.B. from Bangalore Institute of Legal studies. She has been appreciated by many media houses like The Hindu, The Deccan Herald, The Sentinel, and Assam Tribune. She has performed in many prestigious events around India.

She has performed in dance festivals like the Hampi Festival of Karnataka and the Natyanjali festival of Chidambaram. She is part of the dance faculty in Shankara Foundation, Bangalore, and Krishnavei Dance School, Chennai, where she teaches young dancers. Namrata is a recipient of the ‘Exceptional Woman of Excellence’ award to honor her contribution in the field of dance, art, and culture from the ‘Women Economic Forum – All Ladies League.’ To further spread the universal language of dance, she plans on establishing her own center for dance and performing arts, SHIVANG.
