Saumya Tandon is a popular Indian tv host and actress. She is popularly known for hosting reality shows like Zor ka Jhatka :Total Wipeout with in 2011, Dance India Dance and Bournvita Quiz Contest. In addition to these shows she has also co-hosted many award shows.

She was born in Bhopal, India and did her schooling from Ujjain. Her father was an English professor. Saumya, herself was a poet and her poems, called Meri Bhawnayein were published and nominated for Modi young national award. She took up modelling early in her career and was soon selected to co-host Dance India Dance, which she hosts until present. It was in 2011 when she hosted Zor Ka Jhatka: Total Wipeout that she became widely popular. In 2007, she also grabbed a role in as Roop, Kareena Kapoor’s sister. She then hosted many other shows like the 12th edition of Comedy Circus ke Taansen, Mallika-E-Kitchen and Bournvita Quiz contest. Her sense of humor and expressions made the reality show Dance India Dance widely popular and she was awarded as the best television anchor in 2010. In 2012, she hosted the prestigious 57th National film Awards.
