Sonal Dabral is an actor, VJ, and a Businessman. He was born in Uttar Pradesh to a small middle class family. His father passed away when he was young. After graduating from National Institute of Design, he started his career as a television actor and his first role was on drama ‘Fauji’ alongside the famous veteran Indian actor Shahrukh Khan. In Fauji they depicted realistic look at training of Army cadets. After this he was a VJ on Philips Top 10 and hosted a game show

. At that time he enjoyed writing scripts and wrote for Jaaved Jaffrey,
Archana Puran Singh
and many others.Â
After his acting career, Dabral joined Advertisement industry. He first joined Lintas India Pvt. Ltd (now Lowe) in Delhi where he worked for five years. In 1989, he then joined O&M Mumbai he spent ten years there and helped make the advertising agency one of the top in the country. The company won many national and international awards most notably Lions at Cannes and the Clios.
He then was transferred to O&M Malayasia as Executive Creative Director, after which he joined O&M Singapore. During his term at Singapore, the office agency won award for the third most awarded agency in the world at Cannes. He then returned to India and joined Bates David Enterprise. He was the Chairman for Indian operations and Regional Creative Director for Asia Pacific. In 1999, Dabral was named as one of the 50 young Indians who will lead India into the next century by the Times Of India.
Currently Dabral is the Chairman & CCO of DDB Mudra group which is one of the world's largest advertising companies. Dabral has worked for many national and international firms like Volkswagen, Unilever Foods,
Coca Cola
, Virgin Mobile, Cadburys, Fevicol, Ponds and many more.
