Neeraj Kumar Mishra is a writer, Director, Showrunner, creative director, content and business developer, and independent filmmaker. He worked as the associate creative director of Creative Eye Limited and Shakuntalam Films for years before moving on to start Anirati Films which has gained recognition. Mishra earned a B. A Honours in Political Science at Magadh University from 1994 to 1997. He later studied Journalism and Mass Communication at the Indira Gandhi National Open University in 2004.Â
He has played vital roles in many movies since 1999 but his first major stage in the film industry was in 2004, when he was appointed the Creative producer, researcher, and writer at Balaji Telefilms Limited. Then became the creative director at Contiloe Films in 2011. He didn’t stop there. He became the creative director at Viniyard Films in 3016.
He produced and directed his two short movies titled Co-incidence (2006) and 11 Minutes (2009). He was the writer and producer of Gandhi: The Silent Gun (2012) – a short movie – that won eleven awards. He directed and produced Baaghi 2 (2018) and is a lone traveler. His most significant success was in Samanantar (2021), which won the National Film Awards. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Maithili. He currently lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.Â
