Plot
An ex FATF agent has an unlikely meeting with a con artist on the Dark Web. They decide to team up to dupe a notorious billionaire of his money, which he has robbed from the nation. Will they make it?
Star Performances
To be honest, the cinematographer of this movie, as well as the special effects team, did a good job.
For all the flaws of the film, at least they made this film visually appealing. Even Siddhanth Kapoor did a fair job as the antagonist.
Analysis
A rich man dupes the nation of its wealth. Some mavericks decide to rob the thief of his loot. They have to go through many difficulties, but eventually, they make it. Hmmm, where have heard this before?
Of course, that’s every random heist thriller made in Indian cinema for the last five years, and ‘The Heist’ is nothing better.
However, there is one slight difference : the writer tried to connect modern technology with the classic chase of a conman. It did not deliver the desired results, but at least Nikita Chaturrvedi attempted something different.
The same couldn’t be the said about the execution. The director messed up with an okayish screenplay, and made the film anything but interesting. At one point, the viewers won’t be seeing the movie, but will be calculating of the number of scenes that were lifted from either ‘Money Heist’ or ‘The Italian Job’, or even ‘

However, for all the bad things about this movie, there are a few good things as well. The cinematographer, as well as the visual effects team, did a decent job with the limited resources, making the film somewhat visually appealing. While the actors were just about average, Siddhanth Kapoor tried his best to make the antagonist’s appearance look convincing.

Verdict
‘The Heist’ is a good concept, that could have been a welcome surprise if e xecuted properly. However, director Aditya Aawandhe made a meal of it. Thankfully, the camerawork, as well as the acting of Siddhanth Kapoor made it a decent one time watch.
