Born and based in Kolkata, West Bengal, Sampa Biswas is a loved classical and folk singer and musician. From a tender age, Sampa discovered her love and passion for music and has stuck with it ever since. As she grew, she secured a master’s degree in music from Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata, and she learned under the guidance of various gurus such as Padma Shri Purna Das Baul, Gita Chowdhury, Joli Bagchi, Jayanta Kumar Barman, and more.

Sampa Biswas is also an empanelled artist of the ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations). With her melodious voice, Sampa tours the country performing for various significant shows and events. She appeared in the 2018 Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, a talent hunt reality show airing on Zee Bangla. She also performed at the 8th Theatre Olympics at the Red Fort in New Delhi. Some of her famous songs are Elo Maa Dugga (2020), Hawar Upor Chole Gari (2022), Brindabon, and Tumi Janona Re Priyo (2022), to name a few.
