Saikat Sekhareswar Ray is a famous Bengali singer and former editor. He has worked as an editor in many films and released many music albums which were quite hits. Saikat completed his primary education at South Point High School. After this, he completed his studies in film editing at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute. He was also a former lecturer at St Xavier's College, Kolkata, from 2009 to June 2011 and also worked as an Assistant Professor in SRFTI.

He also released many albums, some of which are Aaji Bijano Ghare, Aha Tomar Sange Praner Khela, Amar Jedin Bheshe Gechhem, Amar Praner Pare Chole Gelo Ke, Ami Chanchal Hey, Ami Jene Shune Bish Korechhi Paan, Era Parke Aapan Kare, Jete Jete Ekla Pathe, Joubanosarosineere, Khelar Chhale Sajiye, Majhe Majhe Tabo Dekha Pai, Mone Rabe Ki Na Rabe Amare, Nidrahara Rater E Gaan, Pinakete Laage Tankar, Pran Chay Chokkhu Na Chay, Sudhu Tomar Bani Noy Go, Sukhoheen Nishidin Paradhin Hoye, Sundara Batey Tabo, Taar Haate Chhilo Hasir Phooler Haar, and Tomar Holo Shuru.

Saikat also worked as an editor in films like Anyadin...
