Anup Ghoshal is an Indian singer who worked for the Bengali film industry. He is a playback singer in both Hindi and Punjabi movies and shared his work in both industries. Anup is doing very well in Politics also. He won the 2011 West Bengal Assembly Elections on a Trinamool Congress ticket from the Uttarpara Vidhan Sabha Constituency in Hooghly district. Anup defeated his competitor with a massive 43000+ votes. Anup was inspired by his mother as she is also having a very great voice. His first performance happens when he was just 4 years old and he sang in the children's program for All India Radio, Kolkata.
Anup’s first work as a playback singer in the movies was when he was 19 years old, he sang for the film Goopy Gyne Bagha Byne. He also attended various musical concerts in other countries like the United Kingdom, United States of America, Germany, and many others where he got much appreciation and also promote his Indian Music culture. Some of the popular movies in which he worked as a playback singer are Hirak Rajar Deshe, Goopy Bagha Phire Elo, Mohun Baganer Meye, Ek Je Chhilo Desh, Ajab Gayer Ajab Kotha, Biraj Bou, and many others.
