and Sikha Mukherjee. Belonging to a middle-class family, right from his very childhood, Animesh developed an interest in music. He began learning Tabla from his first Guru, Raju Gayen, at the age of 5. He then started learning Piano at the age of 8 from Guru Sukanta Chakraborty. Possessing a passion for writing, he composed his first song when he was in Class IX. From this age, he started performing as a singer on many shows and received commendation from many people.
He thought of creating a home recording studio for the purpose of recording his own songs. His first music direction work in Mumbai was with renowned singer Sadhna Sargam. In 2000, he formed the AMS Motion Pictures Company to promote and create quality content for the audio industry. It has now emerged as a full-fledged studio for film purposes. The Bengali feature film Raat Jaga Tara (2020) was directed and written by him. He also composed the music for the film. He has also worked on “Ek Nayi Subah” (2016).
