Amit's association with the Bengali movie Roktokorobi in 2017 also helped him to establish his name in the industry. The movie was a political drama based on the story of Rabindranath Tagore. Amit's biggest opportunity came when he collaborated with Tauqueer Ahmed, a renowned director from Bangladesh. Tauqueer was making a film on the export of Bangladeshi laborers, and Amit was chosen as the editor for the film, which was initially titled Ogatonoma. The film was later released as The Unnamed in 2016 and was selected as the official Oscar Submission for Best Foreign Language Film from Bangladesh. From 2017 to 2020, Amit worked on many films as an editor, some of which include Red Oliender's, Haldaa (2017), Para Theke Premier-TV Movie (2017), In Spring Breeze (2019), and Tui Amar Hero-TV Movie (2020).
