Subhadipta Biswas

Subhadipta Biswas is an Indian editor, writer, and director who works predominantly in the Bengali film industry. 

He completed his post-graduation diploma in Cinema, Film, and Editing at Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute from 2011-2014. He started his career as an editor in the Bengali film industry with the 2014 short film 'Kolkatar Guptokatha.' Sougata Bhattacharya directed this short film. 

He won the 'Best Editor' Award in the 11th Manipur State Awards 2018 for the 2015 Non-feature film 'Theatre of the Earth.' The Manipuri drama film starred Sunil Loitongbam in the lead role. 

Subhadipta also directed the 2016 Nepali documentary film 'The Songs of Margaret's Hope' along with Arijit Mitra. They have made a short fiction called 'Wheel' earlier. 

He edited the 2017 documentary drama 'The Running Hawker.' Directed by Chandan Biswas and Abhijan Sarkar, the music was composed by Subhabrata Sen. 

He also worked as an editor for the 2017 Bengali film 'Sona Pani.' Directed by Malcolm Mistry, Senthil Prabhu K handled the camera. 

He also edited the 2020 Hindi documentary film 'I Rise.' Based on the true story of the Manipuri boxer Laishram Sarita, Borun Thokchom Borun Thokchom is an Indian filmmaker whose film ‘ >> Read More... directed the film. 

He was also part of short films such as 'The Sleeping Woman' (2023) and 'The Free Theatre' (2023).
