Orpheus Mukhoty is an Indian filmmaker, scriptwriter, poet, and author. He was born on 21 October 1978 in Jalpaiguri, West Bengal, and completed his education at Javadpur University, Kolkata as a Graduate in Bengali Language and Literature. He belongs to a cultural family, and GN Mukhoty and Shaswati Mukhoty are his parents. He started writing poems at a less age and worked as an editor for the little magazine Hattimatim from 1992 to 1994. He published his poetry book in 1992, at the age of thirteen, named Hattimatim. Orpheus Mukhoty worked as Creative Associative Head Balaji Telefilms Ltd. and Onion arts as Creative Director.

He is the former executive producer at Zee Bengali Entertainment. His career started on the TV program Voter Haowa as an anchor in 2002. From 2005, he worked with Sangeet Bangla in the scriptwriting department.
