Madhubani Chatterjee is also known as Madhuboni Chatterjee. She is an Indian dancer. Madhubani Chatterjee hails from Kolkata, India. She has an experience of twenty-five years as the most fascinating dancer. When she was fifteen, she performed her first stage performance. Madhubani Chatterjee’s first stage performance was “Arengetram” as a young dancer. Her guru Thankamani Kutty praised her performance a lot. Madhubani Chatterjee served her classical dance art form selflessly and blessed her with positive energy. She worked on a project named “Yashomotir Chitthi,” a letter of Yashomati. Madhubani Chatterjee is a professional Bharatnatyam exponent, empanelled from the Indian Council for Cultural Relations as a national-level Bharatnatyam dancer. She has always tried to find new ways through this traditional classical dance style.

Madhubani Chatterjee has choreographed many items such as Vaishnav Padavali Bhanu Singha O Ekti Charitra, Navrasa Nayaki, Ranga Nayaker Janya based on Tagore’s Ritu Rango, Ananda Lahiri Annya Aami based on Chitrangada’s story, and Tagore’s immortal classical Raktakarobi in dance theatre format. Madhubani Chatterjee developed her dance style under Padmabhusan Kalanidhi Narayan, Guru Thankamani Kutty, and later under the guidance of Padmabhusan Alarmel Valli. She and her dance troupe performed a dance drama named “Leelakamal” at a city auditorium.

Madhubani Chatterjee was honored as the Best Dancer at the Dover Lane Music Conference. She received Jadubhatta Purashkar at the Salt Lake Music Conference, Outstanding Young Performer for 2000 by the Junior Chamber of Commerce, and Best Choreography Work by the Indian Cultural Ensemble (for her latest creation, “Annya Aami”) for 2002. Madhubani Chatterjee was also awarded the Best Dance Theatre by Swapnasadhi (a famous theatre group of Kolkata) and Best Production of the Year Award by the Government of West Bengal in 2005.
