Nehal Dutta is an Indian film director known for his contributions to the Bengali film industry. He has been in the industry for ten years and has experience in various fields. Apart from being a film director, he has also directed commercial videos and music videos. His career took off with his very first individual project, 'Palatak.' Palatak was released in 2011, and it pushed Dutta's career as he started receiving immense love from the audience and the industry. After Palatak, Nehal Dutta directed a series of successful movies like Vaastab (2012), Khusboo (2013), Agni (2014), and Angaar (2016). Taking a shift from the Bengali Film Industry, he made his debut in Bollywood. He debuted as a Bollywood Film Director with the Feature Film Khusboo, which was released in 2016.

He also has joint venture projects with Bangladesh. Films like Agni, Gadder, and Angaar are a part of the joint venture. In the next series of projects, Nehal Dutta directed 'E Tumi Kemon Tumi' in the year 2018. In 2019, three years later, he made the announcement; he directed the movie 'Baghini.' Actress Ruma Chatterjee is the film's main lead, and her character's name is Indira Banerjee. After a gap of one year, Nehal Dutta came back with his next project in 2021.
