Saurav Prateek Sanyal is a Mumbai-born cinematographer who works predominantly in the Marathi film industry. Saurav is a post-graduate (M.A.) in Cinematography from Annapurna International School of Film and Media (2017). He started his film career with the comedy short film 'Cheeni Kum Hai' (2018). ' (Confluence of Tales). The Kannada language anthology film is a confluence of seven short stories directed by seven directors, cinematographers, seven editors, and several musicians. Saurav was the cinematographer of the last tale in the anthology.
The seventh story is a drama genre tale titled 'Lachhavva,' directed by Jayashankar A. Saurav was the first assistant cameraman in the 2021 series 'Sandeh.' Shital Sinha directed this emotional drama starring herself, Gaurav Dutt Kalyan, Rahmat Khatami, and Arfat Sheikh. He also worked as a cinematography apprentice in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's directorial 'Gangubai Kathiawadi' (2022).
