Rafiqul Bari Chowdhury was a Bangladeshi cinematographer and director born in the year 1930. His birthplace was Brahmanbaria, and he passed away on 8 May 2005 in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 1954, Rafiqul started his professional career as an assistant cameraman in Lahore and became a cameraman in 1960. He worked as the first camera operator for the channel, Bangladesh TV or BTV.
Rafiqul worked as the cinematographer for the musical performance of Ferdausi Rahman 28 June 1941 marked Ferdausi Rahman's birth. S >> Read More... in 1964 on BTV. He was the director of the films- Tansen in 1970 and Bhool Jokhmn Bhanglo in 1974. Another film directed by Rafiqul was Pension, which saw a screening at the Indian Film Festival of 1984. He was also the director of a short film produced by Bangladesh Shishu Academy named Bangla Ma-er Damal Chhele in 1994. Jibon Shimantey was the name of Rafiqul's production company.
