Shilpi Sarkar Apu is a well-known television actress in India. She got her first modelling job in a television commercial (TVC) in 1985, early in her illustrious acting career. Apu has performed in several plays, films, and short films. One of her notable works is the short film The Soul (Manob), in which Apu starred and Sahin Roni was the director of photography. This short film received a nomination for "Best Cinematography" at the Cannes Film Festival.
