Mumtaz Alia Akbari, popularly known as Protyasha, is a well-known actress, model, and TV representative working in Bengali Film Industry. She was born on 7 July 1982 in Rajshahi District. Mumtaz has known in the acting industry post her participation in the Miss Bangladesh competition. In 2002, Protyasha participated in the Lux-Anandadhara Miss Bangladesh competition, and she was one of the top ten participants. Along with modeling, Pratyosha also appeared in many Bengali movies and television series. She made her debut in acting in a series, A-Team, in 2013.
In the same year, she also appeared in another Bengali series Megher Kheya. Restaurant 21, Agneepath, Run, Dur Desh, Society, Bachelor Dampoti, Dristy Den, Shesher Ratri, and Abong Ami are famous drama series and movies by Pratyosha. One of the best Bengali films by Mumtaz Akbari is the Suronjana in 2017. Directed by Chayanika Chowdhary, the film starred KS Firoz, Pratyosha, and Ziaul Faruq Apruba.
