Mahiya Mahi, daughter of Mr. Abu Bakkar Khokon and Mrs. Dilara Yasmin Soby, is a Bangladeshi actress with outstanding achievements, and performance in the Film Industry. She also goes by the name Sharmin Akter Nipa, which is her birth name and Mahiya Mahi is her stage name. She is a stroke of genius in terms of acting and has gotten a lot of awards since her debut as an actress in 2012. Born to an Islamic family in the 'Silk City' of Bangladesh, formally known as Rajshahi, she was raised in the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka. She was born on October on the 27th the year, 1993. The actress completed her BSc (Hons) in Fashion Designing in Shanto-Mariam University of Creative Technology (SMUCT) in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

She also did her Secondary Schooling from the city where she was brought up, Dhaka, in Uttara High School. Mahiya, apart from her top ranking in acting in the Bangladeshi Film industry, is also considered one of the highest-paid actresses in Bangladesh. Her talent and acting excellence are evident from all the awards she has gotten since her debut in the film 'Bhalobashar Rong' directed by Shahin Sumon in 2012. Her first movie was a huge success which brought her fame and recognition and helped her to fully fledge her career in acting fully.
