Mugdha Godse is an Indian model comes to an actress known for her work in the movie Fashion. She was born into a middle-class family in Pune and attended the Nutan Marathi Vidyalaya, at Sadashiv Peth, Pune. She had to work extremely hard financially before achieving stardom. Mugdha and her sister Madhura used to sell oil and earn Rs 100 a day, for a living. Later on, she concentrated on her fitness and hit the gym on a regular basis so as to participate in local beauty contests.
She found her first success when she was declared the winner of Gladrags Megamodel Hunt. A couple of years later, Mugdha also participated in the contest “Best Model of The World”, and though she didn’t win the competition, Mugdha was presented with “Best National Costume” as Miss India. In the year 2004, she participated and reached the semi-finals of the prestigious “Femina Miss India” and was also accredited with the Miss Perfect Ten title. After which Godse relocated to Mumbai and got involved with various modeling and advertising assignments.
In a particular Airtel advertisement, she got to share screen time with Shahrukh Khan. She also appeared in some music videos viz Koka Tera Koka, Lekar Hum Deewana Dil, Mauja Len De and Jab Chaye Mera Jadoo, just to name a few.
The year 2008 marked Mugdha Godse’s Bollywood debut in Madhur Bhandarkar’s “Fashion” where she was cast alongside Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. She was also nominated for a Filmfare award in the debut category for her role as a model Janet in the film and also won the Apsara Award for Best Female Debutante. Godse also appeared briefly in roughly 13 movies including All the Best, Jail, Heroine, Help and cameos in a couple of South Indian movies as well.
