Abhishek Banerjee

Abhishek Banerjee is a writer and actor in Indian cinema. He has worked even in Bengali movies. It was for a movie 'Ashbo Aar Ekdin', a Bengali film went on the floors from December 2011, he began his writing journey.  He was the co-writer of the story along with Dr. Kalyan Bose who was a producer and Abhijit Das Gupta who was the director.

The film starred Abir Chatterjee, Swastika Mukherjee, RupaGanguly, ArindamSil, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Ridhima Ghosh, Alokananda Roy.It was for another web series 'Permanent Roommates', he was the casting director for the episode '"The Parents"' which was directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra and DiswapatiSamrk. The show was telecast on February 14.2017.

He was also part of a movie Ajji which was a Hindi language drama film directed by DevashishMakhija. I(2017) t was showcased at several film festivals abroad, most notable were Busan International Film Festival, Mumbai Film Festival.

Singapore International Film Festival and 22nd Korean film extravaganza. In this move, Abhishek was seen as an actor narrating the role of VilasraoDhavle. In addition, he was also part of casting director for an Indian web series ' TVF Tripling' which was directed Rajesh Krishnan, He e worked in two episodes only namely '- Ab Kidhar...?' and '- TohChalein...?' This was the first two episodes in the web series, directed by Rajesh Krishnan on a storey and concept by Sumeet Vyas, AkashKhurana, and the web series was released on September 9, September 24, 2016 respectively.

He is also the story writer for the new Hindi movie 'Pari' along with director Prosit Roy that has Anushka Sharma and Parambrata Chatterjee in lead roles. This film is shot in West Bengal.Abhishek Banerjee has also moved to the greener pastures in his life and heads the casting wing of big banner movies and one can never say no to Abhishek.

Arguably he is the biggest name in the casting circuit of Bollywood. Abhishek Banerjee is the casting director of 'Secret Superstar', 'Toilet EkPrem Katha'(2017) 'Kyaa Super Kool Hain Hum'(2012) and 'Ghanchakkar'(2013), 'Gabbar Is Back'(2015), \Do Lafzon Ki Kahani' and 'Rock On 2'(2016).

He is an actor and writer who had no plans of becoming a casting director but it was on seeing his Bollywood journey we can find many noted portfolios which have sealed his career in the big league.

He started with active involvement in the casting of a movie ‘Knockout’. That's when film offers started trickling in and his other movies happened. From then on, it has been a smooth journey for Abhishek Banerjee and movies like ‘Secret Superstar’ and ‘Toilet EkPremKatha’ speak volumes of his casting talent.
