Thamarai is from a middle-class background. She has a younger sister. Her mother, Mallika, raised them as a single parent, after she lost her husband at a young age. Surya is from a wealthy household, who has two siblings: a younger brother, Sundar and a younger sister. Rekha, Surya’s mother wants Surya to get married to a suitable girl. Though she is rich, she doesn’t expect her daughter-in-law from a wealthy family. However, she hides the truth that Surya is a mentally challenged person. Thamarai and Surya get married, and Thamarai comes to know the truth when she steps into Surya’s house. She decides to get out of the house, but Rekha stops her and begs her pardon. Finally, Thamarai stays there and decides to cure Surya’s mental illness. Sundar marries Divya, but is not truthful to her. How will Thamarai cure Surya? Will Sundar’s wickedness come out? The rest of the serial deals with this.
