Rajesh Joshi is an Indian poet, writer, journalist, playwright. He writes his poetry in Hindi language and has won many titles. Rajesh Joshi was born in the year 1946 in a place called Narsinghgarh, Madhya Pradesh. He studied biology and graduated in the year 1966. He became a teacher in a school at Ujjain as well as Indore. He has also worked as a bank clerk. In 1972, he left his profession to become a freelance writer and take up the literary career. R
ajesh started writing for different journals that included Vatayan, Dharmayug of the Times of India Group which was a weekly pictorial that covers different factors of life like art, literature, fashion, science, fiction, culture, and comics; Lahar, Sarika, Pahal, Saptahik Hindustan, etc. He also did editing for different magazines. The magazines for which Rajesh Joshi did editing were Naya Vikalp, Vartman Sahitya, and Naya Path. Presently, he lives in Bhopal and continues his work of writing. Joshi released his first book in 2000. It was known as Do Panktiyon Ke Bich which was a Hindi poetry compilation.
In 2005, he released his second book called Nagarjuna Rachana Sanchayan. It included the collection of all the selected writings of the famous Hindi writer, Nagarjuna. Qissa Kotah was the next book he released in the year 2012. It was a book about Remini Sciences. Kavi Ne Kaha was a Hindi poetry book released in 2012. It had all the poetry written by Rajesh Joshi. Parampara Aur Samkalinta was a 2013 book that Rajesh Joshi wrote along with Ramprakash Tripathi. It had essays by the authors especially criticizing a few factors.
In 2014, he released a book called Meri Chuninda Kahaniyan. The book contained a compilation of Rajesh Joshi’s best stories compiled by Rajesh himself. Mukyibodh Sanchayan was his next book released in 2015. It was a compilation of Rajesh Joshi’s best of works. In the same year, Zid was published. It was a book by him that included poems. Altogether, Rajesh has published twelve different books. It had four different poetry collections like Ek Din Bolenge Ped, one long poem called Samargatha, Kapil Ka Ped and Samwar Aur Anya Kahaniyan was a collection of various short stories.
He has also authored a collection of rhymes by children called Gend Nirali Mithoo Ki. He has written four plays as well. In 2002, he received a Sahitya Akademi Award for Hindi anthology of poems written by him, Do Panktiyon Ke Bich. His books have been translated English, Urdu, Russian, German, and different Indian languages. He has won many awards and titles including Muktibodh Puraskar, Srikant Verma Smriti Samman, Makhan Lal Chaturvedi Puraskar, Shikhar Samman to name a few.
